During the year many of our members have undertaken all sorts of challenges :

Annie Boyd walked from the Mediterranean Coast to the Atlantic Coast in Spain, an amazing trip which she has documented in a coffee table book. This is not Annies first major walk and she prepared with consistent workouts. We look forward to hearing about her next trip!

Tish Wasson (and her husband Scott) competed and won Gold and a world record in Power Lifting Championships held in Slovakia. An outstanding achievement. Tish also competed in the 67.5 kg. junior category at the Master Championships in June 2012. She broke three world junior records with a Squat of 95kg, Bench Press of 42.5kg, and a deadlift of 105kg.

Once again our secretary June Godkin and Pam Marsden and her husband John competed and successfully completed the Bridge to Brisbane Walk in September. This course is 10 kilometres long and attracts world wide interest. Great work everyone.

Robyn Robertson has been training since June to tackle Base Camp on Mt Everest with her family and friends. Having worked hard and with varying programs from our trainers we look forward to hearing about her adventure and success! Robyn is already considering more mountain conquering in the future!

Ray Louden and Annie Hewitt have both competed and won medals in the Australian Masters Competition in June this year.

Ray competed in the 65-69 age group and 85kg weight division. He gained a gold medal in his division with a total weight of 119kg. One of many in Rays career to date.

Annie, has won the world Natural Body Building title three times and nine other state, national and international titles. Now she has moved onto weight lifting and competed in the 45-49 age group and 58kg weight division. She won a gold medal in her division with total lifts of 90kg.
